Awesome design. I think it consume less energy than the typical fireplace.
I didn't think fire could create a feeling of coldness...
what about the carbon monoxide? it just seeps out into the rest of the house? kinda dangerous.

Agreed, these are definatly 3d renders, look at the corners, you can see the lines in the texture. The flames to not look real, they look quite 2d, and fire is made by oxygen burning, there will be some sort of residue, whatever you want to call it.
Also, the pic with the glass cylinder coming out of the metal... look a the metal - that's not right.
And the white room? How many rooms have you seen that clean and dustless? How many rooms are functional looking like that?
regardless it looks a bit crap to me... out of place.... id rather just have a normal fire place, its not stylish or remotely fashionable loking but a nice idea all the same

These things suck - literally. Have you ever used a ventless fireplace? Same concept. You don't need to worry too much about carbon monoxide - the natural gas flames burn cleanly, producing only CO2 and H20. But, they literally suck - they pull cold air into the house.
Not only that, but they lower oxygen levels and raise CO2. It's probably not enough to kill you unless the room is sealed especially tightly, but it's definitely enough to cause headaches and nausea.
